Course Description
ASDAN is an awarding body approved by QCA and ACCAC, specialising in accrediting achievements in personal skills development and producing supporting curriculum materials
We will soon be able to offer the Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) which is available at three levels, mirroring the Silver/FE Level 1, Gold/FE Level 2, Universities/FE Level 3 Awards.
Students who opt for this exciting subject will have the opportunity to:
Develop and demonstrate a range of skills and gain credit for what they have learnt from the wide variety of activities they are undertaking both inside and outside formal education.
Recognise their personal achievements.
Manage their own learning.
Broaden their experience.
Develop their employability skills and personal effectiveness.
Build their record of achievement.
Add to their GSCE qualifications.
Learners will be encouraged to take responsibility for planning, organising and carrying out a number of activities or challenges.
Develop and provide evidence of working with others, improving own learning and performance, and problem solving. Encourage the learner to develop and provide evidence of the skills of research, discussion and presentation.
Learners produce evidence of their achievements in a Portfolio.
At a glance
The learners have the opportunity to gain an Award which requires 6 Credits out of 12 Modules, or a Certificate which requires 12 Credits out of 12 Modules.

Assessment
To achieve the ASDAN Award or Certificate of Personal Effectiveness the learner must gain credits by completing challenges, and providing evidence to demonstrate skills development at the appropriate level.
These are checked and signed by the assessor, and in turn by the internal moderator.
